The worst illiterate!!!

"The worst illiterate is the political illiterate. He hears nothing, sees nothing, takes no part in political life. He doesn't seem to know that the cost of living, the price of beans, of flour, of rent, of medicines, all depend on political decisions. He even prides himself on his political ignorance, sticks out his chest and says he hates politics. He doesn't know, the imbecile, that from his political non-participation comes the prostitute, the
abandoned child, the robber and, worst of all, corrupt officials, the lackeys of exploitative multinational corporations".

Distinguished ladies and gentlemen, it is still regrettable that the majority of the members of our political parties and politicians do not yet include the critical elite of our society. They still see politics as something too dirty.

Whether we like it or not, history has shown that the elite of any society, especially its professional cadre, and the very best of them decide the direction of the nation when they come to a consensus about the pathway for their nation, even if they belong to different political parties.

Where are all the people who have built things with their hands in our society? What are they doing outside of Government? Where are the founders of the big banks, businesses, telecoms in our body politics?

If they succeeded in their endeavours, why dont they employ their expartise in governance?
Lets wake up.

We must not all vie for electoral posts/offices but we can b involved in d governace process n polity.

Toss one in your bag for a quick mid-morning snack, add orange wedges to a grilled chicken salad or find other ways to add more oranges to your diet. Soluble fiber attracts water in your gut, forming a slow-moving gel. As this gel substance travels through your intestinal tract, it picks up some of the excess cholesterol compounds and pushes them out through fecal waste. Your cholesterol levels will go down over time, decreasing your risk of suffering from heart disease. You need 14 gr...

Take charge of your wallet in 5 steps

Sharon Epperson CNBC If you're carrying around a tattered old wallet that you can barely close because it is filled with crumpled receipts, credit cards, rewards cards, spare keys, lip gloss, and whatever else you can fit in it , some financial advisers say you shouldn't be surprised that you are having some trouble getting a handle on your finances. "You should think about your wallet like you think about making a first impression with potential employer, client, or date. The way you treat the wallet and the money in your wallet is a direct message about what you're saying about yourself," says New York-based financial adviser Stacy Francis, founder of Savvy Ladies, a non-profit financial education organization geared toward empowering women. "If you pay more attention to your money and the way it's organized, you'll be more organized, more responsible and more on top of your finances." Taking these five steps to get organized can help you take ...
